What does the class cost?
The cost of the class is $175. This fee includes three weeks of instruction, on-field evaluations, the rule and case book, and first-year board dues for the Worcester Area Baseball Umpires Association.
How long is the class?
The class consists of six sessions over three weeks, meeting two nights per week. The final session will include the exam.
Can I miss a session?
Although we don’t recommend it, we understand that life happens. However, we strongly advise against missing more than one session.
What is the age requirement?
The current age requirement is 18, or 17 for high school seniors.
What is a passing grade on the exam?
The passing grade is 80. The exam is designed to set you up for success, and instructors are available to help throughout the process.
What level of baseball will I be able to work once passed?
This course will certify you for all levels up to HS Baseball. We recommend starting at the lower levels to gain some experience
